ForteBet and Real Stars Sports Celebrate Kyaggwe Ssaza Team’s Milestone with Lifetime Achievement Awards Ahead of Masaza Cup Final

As Kyaggwe Ssaza team approaches its first-ever Masaza Cup Final against Buddu on November 2, 2024, at Mandela National Stadium, excitement is in the air, amplified by lifetime achievement awards presented to the team’s leaders. Organized by Real Stars Sports Agency in collaboration with ForteBet and Jude Color Solutions, the awards honor the dedication of Kyaggwe’s management team that has driven this historical achievement.

This special recognition acknowledged:

  • Head Coach David Steven Mutono Katono for guiding Kyaggwe to its inaugural final, marking a new chapter in the team’s legacy. Katono previously led the team to a semifinal appearance in 2016.

Badminton – Rising talent Augustus Owinyi won his first Real Stars accolade after his outstanding success in the 7th City Tyres East Africa Badminton Challenge, where he claimed gold in Men’s Singles, Doubles, and Team events for Uganda. The 24-year-old, representing Ndejje University, outshone competitors including Fadhila Shimika Rafi and Tracy Naluwooza.
  2. FootballAllan Okello from Vipers SC was awarded the monthly accolade for his significant goal contributions at both national and club levels, outperforming fellow nominees Josephine Nambuya of Kawempe Muslim and Seiri Arigumaho of Brightstars.
  3. MotorsportMike Mukula Junior took the top spot, beating out competitors Omar Nasser and Ronald Ssebuguzi. Mukula’s recent second-place finish at the ARC Championship in Rwanda has positioned him as a strong contender in the ARC 2 category.
